The Enigma Next Door

So in the summer of 2008 when I moved to Regina, the condo next to mine was for sale. It was soon bought by a young expecting couple. A few months later she had her baby. A couple months after that the guy disappears, gonzo, never seen again. No big deal, people break up all the time. Not usually with a three month old, but who am I to judge?

Not me

So anyhow me and Sachmo are wondering what's going on over there, not really making it our business, but curious nevertheless. And over the course of the last while some weird things have been going on over there:

-The initial disappearance of the dude. He was around every day for a while, then BAM! never to be seen again. First we thought he was away working or something because he's in construction, but it's been a year plus and he hasn't come by to check on his baby?

-The baby. I never hear the baby through the walls (which are pretty thick I will admit) and I never see the baby get carried in or out since last summer. There was an empty diaper box outside the other day, so I figure there's still a baby in there, but who knows.

-The chick. She's always been one of those super quiet polite types,

You know the type

but she never says anything. Last summer you'd get a "hey" or a "hi" out of her, now she talks less than Johnny Tightlips.

 

I ain't saying a word

Also she does odd things like sit in her running truck for 15, 20 minutes after getting home from wherever it is she goes all day.

The other day I heard carpentry going on over there, I just don't get what's going on over there.
